Bigfish, the industry leader in trade magazines for business owners in the luxury leisure market. In the 17 years since its inception, Bigfish has expanded to comprise a stable of four magazines: SpaRetailer, Spasearch, Poolsearch and PoolPro. In 2006, Bigfish launched TradeCertified, the only independent endorsement program in the pool and spa industry.

Senior Management Team
David founded Bigfish Publications in 1999. In the past 19 years, he has launched four magazines, SpaRetailer, Spasearch, Poolsearch and PoolPro. In addition, in 2006 he created TradeCertified, the only independent endorsement program in the pool and spa industry.
Under David’s leadership, Bigfish has become the premiere boutique creative agency specializing in custom publishing for education, healthcare, e-commerce and tourism. David is an entrepreneur, a creative visionary adept at developing niche media products for clients designed to capitalize on market opportunities and industry trends.
Prior to founding Bigfish Publications, for eight years David was a partner with Sonora Business Systems, a Tucson, Arizona–based technology consulting firm. David began his career at Calvin Klein in New York, New York.
In 1987, David earned his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
Megan came to Bigfish Publications in 2007 after completing a Master’s degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, with an emphasis in magazine publishing.
While working towards her degree, she wrote for various Chicago newspapers including the Defender and Northwest Indiana Times, as well as trade magazine Pit & Quarry. Megan graduated magna cum laude from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix with a B.A. in English literature.
Since first coming on board with Bigfish in 2007, Brittany has worked with the design team in various roles. Prior to coming on as the art director, she executed creative on multiple Bigfish magazines and collateral pieces for Bigfish clients.
At the top of her class, Brittany graduated with her B.A. from Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Art and Design. In addition to design, she studied art history and architecture. She has lived and worked remotely as a designer on 3 different continents and loves to travel locally and globally whenever the opportunity arises.
