Jasmin Wischerman wasn’t looking for a career in hot tubs; she was looking for a job after moving to a new state.

A connection led her to a local dealer that needed organizational and administrative help. Then COVID hit, demand exploded and Wischerman found herself in sales.

Since then, she has worked in aftermarket sales, helped build an e-commerce store from scratch and gained experience across multiple areas of spa retail. Now general manager at Queen Creek Hot Tub, Wischerman has found that improving how a business operates is where she thrives.

One of her biggest wins, however, came from refusing to accept a long-standing “No.”

Queen Creek Hot Tub wanted to carry Trex Outdoor Furniture but had repeatedly been turned down. Wischerman pursued the opportunity through multiple interviews and conversations, eventually securing an exclusive partnership.

“What makes me most proud isn’t just landing the partnership; it’s knowing that I helped create a new opportunity for the company, our team and our customers.”

Wischerman sees that kind of problem-solving becoming an even bigger part of her career. Eventually, she would like to consult with hot tub retailers that need help with operations or growth — something she compares to the concept behind “Bar Rescue,” but for the hot tub and outdoor living industry.

There is another impact she hopes to make that is far more personal.

Wischerman would like manufacturers and industry partners to find ways to make swim spas more accessible through programs, partnerships or grants. For her, the need is personal. Her son, Jaxson, battled cancer before his death, and her husband is a disabled Army veteran.

“When Jaxson was battling cancer in Colorado, there really wasn’t access to clean, comfortable water,” she says. “Public pools and spas were often too heavily chlorinated, and I found myself thinking how much healing and comfort water could have provided during that time.”

Those experiences changed how Wischerman thinks about time as well as wellness. Outside of work, she prioritizes quiet weekends and time in nature with her husband and daughter. The family enjoys thrifting, antique shops and road trips — opportunities, she says, to make memories together while honoring Jaxson.
