Kyle Oxley has seen the hot tub business from both sides of the manufacturer-retailer relationship.

He entered the industry in 2016 at Mountain Mist Spas in Fort Collins, Colorado, as an associate salesperson. Within months, he was the general manager, overseeing sales, purchasing, retail pricing, marketing and the company’s website.

That rapid advancement came during a difficult period. After the death of his first industry mentor and colleague, Oxley found himself far from home without family nearby. Facing what he describes as a “sink-or-swim moment,” he immersed himself in the company’s products and operations. The experience gave him an unusually early look at the decisions and responsibilities involved in running a retail business. Oxley says he still tries to emulate the energy and charisma his mentor brought to work.

Oxley later joined The Great Escape in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he expanded beyond spas and saunas into pools and patio products while managing six full-time salespeople and as many as 20 part-time associates during peak season.

Those years on the showroom floor continue to influence how he approaches his job at Bullfrog Spas. Oxley joined the manufacturer in 2023 as regional sales manager for the midmountain region. In 2026, he moved to the Great Lakes region and relocated his family to Indiana.

“My dream in this industry is to make such a positive impact on my dealer partners that I get to see them wildly succeed in life and find peace in what they have chosen to make their life’s work.”

In spring 2026, Bullfrog named Oxley its regional manager of the year — an honor he viewed as confirmation that his work was making a difference for dealership partners as well as co-workers and company leadership.

That early education in the realities of retail became especially valuable after the pandemic-era sales boom. As demand normalized, Oxley saw businesses contend with overinvestment, customer acquisition costs and training deficiencies. His background gave him context for helping dealers adjust to the new market.

For Oxley, those business conversations ultimately come back to what the industry provides for its customers.

“I am so happy that what I have chosen to do brings families together, heals the body and mind and provides a respite from the grinds of daily life,” he says.

That philosophy aligns naturally with Bullfrog’s “Create Peaceful Lives” mission — and with the impact Oxley hopes to have on dealers and their customers.

Away from work, he remains devoted to basketball, a sport he has played, refereed and coached. Summers are more likely to find him boating with family or golfing with friends.
