SpaRetailer Has a Podcast

Let us share even more tools and tips for your business

After becoming a mom, I started listening to a ton of podcasts. Life with little ones, while rewarding and wonderful, can also be dull: With the endless diaper changes or pretending to bake the same three cookies over and over, turning on a podcast helps my sanity. You can learn something new and stay entertained, while keeping your hands free to do whatever else needs to be done. Edison Research found that in 2016, 22 percent of adults said they had listened to a podcast in the last 30 days. In 2003, only 12 percent said the same.

I imagine many of you are also short on time to study up on improving various aspects of your business. “If only I could do this during my commute, while I’m making dinner or tinkering on a service call!” Well, I’m happy to tell you that SpaRetailer is launching a podcast, allowing you to do just that. We’ll dive deeper into some of the topics we’re discussing in the magazine, talk to retailers who have successfully implemented ideas you might want to try yourself, and give you some behind-the-scenes tidbits from SpaRetailer.

We’ll be announcing our first episode soon, but in the meantime here are some recent podcast episodes I’ve listened to that I think you’ll enjoy, which are all available on iTunes, Google Play and pretty much any other podcast service out there.

Read to Lead Podcast: Episode #156 Reach: A New Strategy to Help You Step Outside Your Comfort Zone, Rise to the Challenge, and Build Confidence.

Soak up this great encouragement to face your fears and improve in areas where you’re uncomfortable. (For me, it’s addressing conflict.)

Freakonomics Radio: Are We in a Mattress-Store Bubble?

A look at the mattress industry with some interesting parallels to hot tubs. Who would’ve thought people would buy a mattress without trying it out first? Sound familiar?

Missing Richard Simmons

If you’re looking for something strictly fun, check out this podcast where a friend of Simmons tries to figure out why the fitness icon dropped out of the public eye, and stopped communicating with most of his friends and family.

In the meantime, check out the new SpaRetailer App, available on iTunes and Google Play. For more information and downloading instructions, visit SpaRetailer.com.
