Balboa is manufacturing and donating thousands of masks each week to government organizations, hospitals, first responders, firefighters and police.
InCord
The safety netting manufacturer created zones on its production floor to assemble gowns for hospitals in need. InCord purchased additional sewing machines for the type of light weight material requested by hospitals that have a certain stitch that allows for laundering. They are also sewing cloth face masks for internal use, employees and families working remotely and workers who need to enter their facility.
Pleatco Filtration
Pleatco is supplying filtration media comparable to a N95 face mask to an organization called Sew Blessed. This organization is sewing safety face-masks all over Kentucky and Indiana to supply to healthcare workers and first responders. The rolls of Pleatco filtration media will be used as filter patch inserts in the masks.
Jet Line Products
The swimming pool distributor donated its inventory of swim goggles and swim masks to hospitals in its area.
Confer Plastics
While the factory is shutdown due to New York state’s coronavirus mandates, the company is donating PPE to an area hospital. It collected safety glasses, coveralls and masks.
GLI Pool Products
GLI is using its material to help make 100,000 masks for medical professionals. The company is reaching out to those with the ability to sew to come and help.
Haviland Pool & Spa
The chemical manufacturer has pivoted to start making hand sanitizer. The Grand Rapids, Michigan, supplier will be producing hand sanitizer in bulk five gallon pails at no charge for groups within its local community to help refill pump or squeeze-style sanitizer dispensers.
