Brian Van Bower; Skip PhillipsThe National Swimming Pool Foundation has added two new members to its board of directors as another retires. Brian Van Bower and Skip Phillips, both Society of Watershape Designers Masters and the founders of Genesis, have joined the board of directors. In January of 2016 Genesis merged with NSPF.
“The addition of Genesis to the NSPF family of programs is further enhanced by the addition of the two quality founders of the program onto the NSPF board,” says Bruce Dunn, NSPF chairman of the board. “This addition supports and adds guidance to our dedication of bringing a high level of educational opportunities to the aquatic world.”
John PuetzBower and Phillips join the board as longtime member John Puetz steps away. Puetz was elected to the board in 2007 and retired in October 2016. The director of technology and coordinator of global technology-water at Lonza, Puetz served as chairman of the board from 2011-13 and was a member of the grant review committee. “John has been a champion for collaboration and excellence,” Dunn says. “He will be missed.”
