LPI, Inc. , a hot tub manufacturer operating from three east coast facilities and producing a variety of acrylic spa brands, has acquired Phoenix-based Tuff Spas. Tuff Spas, and its patented hard-top cover, is a rotational-molded hot tub manufacturer established in 1999 by CEO and founder Dave Midkiff.
LPI’s CEO David Hatley says acquiring Tuff Spas was a strategic move. LPI can now operate as a full-service spa manufacturer with production facilities on the east and west coasts offering an even wider range of products.
“Not only are we thrilled about manufacturing a rotational-molded hot tub, we are also excited about transitioning Tuff’s unique, patented, hard-top cover onto LPI’s existing acrylic spa lineup,” Hatley says. “The hot tub industry has long needed an affordable and durable hard top cover as an alternative to the traditional vinyl cover. We are pleased to now offer Tuff’s industry-leading hard top cover to our valued customers.”
