Superior Wellness Celebrates 15 Years of Growth, Innovation and Global Expansion
Superior Wellness celebrated its 15th anniversary on April 28, marking a major milestone in its journey from a startup in 2011 to one of the fastest-growing wellness companies globally.
Founded with the vision of making wellness more accessible, the business has evolved from a hot tub-focused brand into a fully integrated wellness group. Today, Superior Wellness delivers a complete product ecosystem spanning hot tubs, swim spas, mini pools, saunas, ice baths and one of the largest parts and accessories ranges in Europe.
The company’s portfolio of brands includes Platinum Spas, the best-selling hot tub brand in the U.K. and a top three brand in Europe; AquaSolus, a fast-growing affordable luxury range; Hekla, a specialist in infrared and traditional saunas; and Chill Tubs, a leading name in cold water therapy.
“The growth we’ve achieved since 2011 has been exceptional,” says CEO Rob Carlin. “From humble beginnings, we’ve built a global business recognized for innovation, quality and customer experience. Strategic milestones, including the acquisition of our Portugal manufacturing facility in 2024 and the expansion of our U.S. operations with a warehouse in South Carolina, have strengthened our infrastructure and positioned us for continued international growth.”
Superior Wellness operates across the U.K., Europe and North America, supported by a robust global supply chain and warehousing network spanning the U.K., the Netherlands, the U.S. and Canada.
“We’re proud to work with over 500 partners across more than 57 countries,” says Chief Operating Officer Gaz Ward. “Our success is built on those relationships. We don’t just supply products, we provide a complete partner solution, combining strong margins, global stock availability and industry-leading marketing support.”
Superior Wellness was founded in 2011 when, at just 23, Carlin began importing and selling hot tubs. With no prior industry experience, he identified a gap in the market for accessible, entry-level products sold online. The business quickly evolved into a distribution model, initially operating under Superior Spas before launching Platinum Spas and expanding into a multibrand portfolio.
Following its transition to Superior Wellness, the company experienced significant growth, particularly in 2020, across revenue, team size and global reach. This expansion led to the move into its current U.K. headquarters in Chesterfield, which now houses its main warehouse, distribution center and offices.
