Vince Wuebker is a man on a mission — delivering wellness to his customers through the benefits of a hot tub. As the owner of HotSpring Spas & Pool Tables 2, with locations in Fargo, Grand Forks and Bismarck, North Dakota, Wuebker is committed to enhancing the lives of others.
Initially, however, Wuebker had little interest in the family hot tub business. He ventured into the tech industry, but when his employer relocated, he purchased his family’s Watertown, South Dakota, hot tub business. Next, he bought another store in Aberdeen and started one in Pierce before deciding to establish HotSpring Spas & Pools Tables 2 in Fargo.
The move to Fargo was a turning point for Wuebker, but a more significant transformation was yet to come. In 2014, he made a New Year’s resolution that would redefine his business and his life; he resolved to stop selling hot tubs and start selling “every day made better.”
Wuebker recognized hot tubs were often seen as commodities, but he believed they had the potential to improve people’s lives and well-being. The challenge was to shift the conversation from the technical aspects of hot tubs to the broader concept of wellness.
It took time to hone the wellness message, but Wuebker had a breakthrough at a home show. His usual pitch wasn’t resonating, so he shifted. “We do the things that allow you to use this [hot tub] more,” Wuebker said. “And if you use it more, you’re better physically below the water, you’re better mentally above the water and you’re better relationally beyond the water.”
The message connected not only with that customer but also with Wuebker. It became his guiding philosophy and has transformed his business.
“If you believe it, which I do, it’s a difference-maker,” Wuebker says. “It’s a life-changing product.”
Today, HotSpring Spas & Pool Tables 2 is known in the community as more than just a hot tub store; it’s a haven for wellness enthusiasts. Wuebker’s dedication to the transformative power of hot water and the pursuit of well-being is at the core of his business.
