Q: What makes your store stand out?
Our customer service. I think it starts with the owner and how he feels about the business, the industry and most importantly, how the customer should be treated. When all the employees have a clear vision on how to treat the customer, including being respectful, attentive, and offering high-quality products and services, everybody wins.

Q: What do you see as the challenges of the region?
The main challenge is educating the consumer. I moved from Denver, where consumers seemed very knowledgeable due to the large number of specialized spa dealers there. The Albany market has pool companies that sell spas. It’s a big difference and consumer exposure to the product is low. I believe that our job is to expose more consumers to the products, as well as educating them and creating differentiation to sell our products.
