Gareth Ward started with Superior Wellness in 2011, back when it was known as Superior Spas. In the early days, Ward wore many hats in the five-person team, gaining experience in every facet of the business — from delivery and sales to marketing and logistics. As the company grew, Ward gravitated toward sales and marketing, where he felt he could add the most value.
“My ambition is boundless, and I am deeply driven to realize our vision of becoming the largest hot tub company in the world,” he says. “I thrive on setting and achieving targets. Growth of our brands and innovation are key to me.”
A significant part of Ward’s role is building relationships with dealers, which he considers one of the most rewarding aspects of his work. He also enjoys the opportunities to diversify Superior Wellness’ product offerings, expanding into new areas like ice baths and saunas.
“Entering new markets and understanding the different cultures and ways of working excites me,” he says. “My passion is seeing our network of partners grow in new territories and giving the best service we can to enable growth not only for Superior Wellness but also for our dealer network.”
Looking ahead, Ward is focused on expanding Superior Wellness by increasing sales, introducing new products and attracting top talent. A major milestone for Ward and the company will be the opening of a new warehouse and office in the United States later this year, followed by expansion into Europe and potentially new markets like Australia.
Despite the industry’s challenges, Ward sees immense potential for growth in the wellness industry, particularly in creating products that enhance customers’ well-being.
“With longevity being a hot topic right now, growth in the wellness industry is uncapped,” he says.
