Alex and Carson King officially joined King Technology — makers of FROG water care products — in 2017 and 2019, though Carson jokes that as third-generation family business members, they unofficially started at birth.
Alex and Carson’s grandfather and father, Lloyd and Joe King, co-founded the company in 1979. However, the brothers’ path to the family business was intentional and carefully planned. Before stepping into their roles, Joe King required that they explore other industries to gain broader perspectives and experience. This led Alex to spend two years in finance before finding his true interest in sales, while Carson worked at large manufacturing organizations, including General Mills and Medtronic.
Today, Alex leads the sales and customer service teams as vice president of sales, while Carson moved from his role as strategic sourcing manager to vice president of operations.
Despite the familial ties, Carson and Alex were drawn to the leisure and lifestyle aspects of the industry and have developed an appreciation for the people, technology and relationships that define it.
