In 2018, Tim White and his wife, Libby, took ownership of Aqua Vita Spas, the leading hot tub dealer and service provider in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. As president, White concentrated on enhancing the valet and service departments, ensuring customers received top tier care and support.
In 2023, Rocky Mountain Hot Tub Holdings, the ownership group of Aqua Vita Spas, completed the acquisition of Mountain Hot Tub, the largest spa and sauna dealer in Montana. With this expansion, White took on the role of chairman of both Rocky Mountain Hot Tub Holdings and Mountain Hot Tub.
White’s strategic focus at Rocky Mountain Hot Tub Holdings is centered on growth, particularly through the expansion of the valet department and the pursuit of new acquisitions. He aims to make Mountain Hot Tub the destination for all things related to hot tubs, from purchasing to service and maintenance.
“Our purpose is to deliver a world-class customer experience so that our customers can ‘soak more and worry less,’ ” he says. “We want to create lifelong relationships with our customers and become the go-to provider for all hot tub questions and needs, not just the place where you purchased your hot tub.”
A key element of White’s approach is his commitment to creating careers rather than jobs. He takes pride in watching employees who started as field service technicians or counter sales associates rise through the ranks to become managers in sales, service and store operations. This focus on career development aligns with Rocky Mountain Hot Tub Holdings’ long-term vision: to remain a family business that offers a permanent home for service-focused spa businesses.
“I want to be the first call for retiring owners who care about who they leave their legacy to,” he says.
