Austin Anderson first joined Dover Pools while in high school, working part time in both service and retail for his parents’ pool and hot tub business. Since then, he’s gone from sales associate to assistant manager, and today, he runs the company’s Seaford location as store manager. 

Anderson flourishes in what he calls the “fast pace and up-tempo” nature of the business. “You are constantly helping people and solving problems, which feels rewarding,” Anderson says. “You also create relationships with the customers and friendships with your staff. It is a real team and community feeling you can’t get in many other lines of work.” He credits Dover Pools with fostering a workplace culture that supports its employees and encourages collaboration, something he believes is essential to long-term success.

His career highlight was his promotion to store manager. “After four-plus years of managing, it felt amazing to see that hard work pay off,” Anderson says. That role not only validated his years of dedication but also allowed him to lead a knowledgeable, customer-focused team that reflects the principles he’s learned from the company’s leadership.

One of the biggest obstacles he’s faced is mastering the technical side of pools and hot tubs. It took years of study, and now Anderson uses that expertise to guide customers toward the right products and help them keep their investments running smoothly.

Anderson wants to continue working alongside his family to support Dover Pools’ growth. “Making sure we keep doing the right things and keep good people in our company” is central to his vision. He also wants to confront what he sees as a common misconception in the spa market — that a great hot tub must come with a high price tag. “There are plenty of cheaper price point tubs that offer similar therapy and high-end style experiences without having to break the bank,” he says. His hopes to ensure every Dover Pools customer leaves with a reliable, high-quality spa they can be proud of.

Anderson recharges by mountain biking, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. He’s also an avid craft beer enthusiast, often exploring local breweries in search of the next great flavor.
