Plant manager
Generation Hot Tubs
Johnson City, Tennessee
Daniel Greeson may be new to the hot tub industry, but his impact has been immediate and substantial. In 2023, he joined Generation Hot Tubs as plant manager, helping launch a manufacturing facility from the ground up. Formerly a project manager for fiberglass pools and spas at Kevin Sparks Signature Pools, Greeson brought valuable construction and installation expertise to the startup.
“Being a part of building a spa factory and helping turn it into a successful production is something I’m very proud of,” Greeson says. From designing workflows to developing quality-control processes, he has been involved in creating the plant’s identity. One of his biggest priorities has been assembling the right team — people who believe in the company’s approach to craftsmanship and service. “Putting the proper people in place to create the quality we seek” was no small task, he says. “Working directly with our employees day in and day out on the floor, proving that we’re all working toward the same goal, has helped to build that quality we want.”
Greeson believes the hot tub industry sits at the intersection of luxury and therapy — an appealing but competitive space. He wants Generation Hot Tubs to become a brand synonymous with high quality and value, resisting the temptation to chase trends at the expense of durability. “A lot of folks just want the next best thing, and quality often suffers from that,” Greeson says.
That commitment to quality isn’t only a business principle — it’s a personal one. Greeson credits owner Kevin Sparks as a mentor who has guided him through both the business and manufacturing sides of the industry. The lessons he’s learning now, he says, will shape the way he leads in the years to come.
A lifelong bluegrass musician, Greeson has been playing for more than 20 years and toured professionally for seven. He also enjoys golf and traveling with his wife — adventures they now share with their newborn daughter.
