Show Time

Retail Stars, one of your — and our — favorite features, is once again upon us. This year, you’ll learn about retailers who have expanded their businesses. For many established companies, expansion is the only avenue for exponential growth. If the numbers have remained consistent in your current location or locations for several years, it might be time to explore opening a store in a nearby market.

We’ve also started releasing new episodes of The SpaRetailer Podcast. We’ve had great guests, and Jeff and I have learned a lot from them. I hope you check it out and get caught up.

If you are going to the Pool | Spa | Patio Expo in November, I encourage you to attend the International Hot Tub Association’s meeting. It is always eye-opening to learn all that IHTA does on behalf of the industry each year, and I wish more retailers would attend. Not only does the meeting provide a global view of the industry, but it also puts you in the room with some of the biggest players in hot tubs. To watch this group of competitors collaborate fills me with hope about the industry’s future.

And last, please stop by our booths at the shows in New Orleans and Atlantic City. I will not be there this year because by the time you read this, I will be cuddling our new baby girl. So if you’ve been trying to get in touch recently, please forgive my slow, incoherent and sleep-deprived responses.

Do You Know What the IHTA Does?

Join the IHTA Nov. 6 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Pool | Spa | Patio Expo in New Orleans, Room #333 to learn more about the International Hot Tub Association and how it protects the industry.

“The IHTA meetings are always an opportunity to focus on the industry as whole rather than our day to day. Additionally, the work being done by the group is of a critical nature, often shaping policy that is in the best interest of all.”
Jerry Greer, CEO, Core Covers
