Artesian Spas: Any Way You Want It

Artesian Spas’ WaVS system offers customizable swim speeds

A personalized — and affordable — swim spa experience awaits TidalFit brand owners through Artesian Spas’ WaVS variable-speed system. With this latest technology, users can customize workout routines and target specific muscle groups to achieve their fitness goals.

This product provides a market niche solution for users who want variable flow-rate control that is typically found in higher-priced products, says Sam Collins, design engineering leader for Artesian Spas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Not all needs are the same, and having the ability to accurately control very low rates of flow to very high rates of flow is a real advantage to potential buyers,” Collins says.

The WaVS system gives users full control, and they can choose between standard workout routines or customizable programs. The system is managed from a touchscreen that provides simplistic operation while allowing easy access.

Key features include the pump’s compact size (4 inches shorter than a conventional pump), 16 speed settings and energy efficiency — 10% more energy efficient compared to the competition due to its electric motor. It also holds the title of the quietest pump in the industry.

Darlene Ruiz, marketing manager for Artesian Spas, calls the system a game changer, highlighting not only the unique flexibility but also the ability to ramp up the current and customize a full swim workout without having to stop and change as some other systems require.

Whether they are going for a leisurely swim or an intense training session, being able to adjust the intensity of the water flow to match their pace is unmatched. It’s like having a personal coach right in their backyard providing them with the interval training they seek.

“Whether they are going for a leisurely swim or an intense training session, being able to adjust the intensity of the water flow to match their pace is unmatched,” Ruiz says. “It’s like having a personal coach right in their backyard providing them with the interval training they seek.”

The features of the WaVS system also allow families to enjoy time together, while its adjustable resistance caters to swimmers seeking an invigorating workout, Ruiz explains.

While the WaVS system functions similarly to a propulsion unit, Ruiz says the beauty lies in its affordability, both upfront and in terms of ongoing costs. But the choice of the jetted multispeed system isn’t just about saving money, Ruiz explains. “It’s about versatility, reliable performance and something that’s exclusively tailored for the TidalFit brand.”

Collins says at the heart of the system is a newly developed pump that has elevated performance levels when compared to conventional pump products.

“Higher efficiency in both water flow rates and power consumption along with near-silent operation have helped us attain some very exciting results,” he adds.

In products containing mechanically driven propulsion systems, power requirements can often be substantial and require more than one line of service, which can drive up installation costs for the buyer. But the WaVS technology only needs a single line of service, Collins says. The system is also considerably smaller than other mechanically driven ones, giving customers more room to enjoy their backyard, he adds.

Whether it’s a family getting together or someone looking to up their training game, Ruiz says, “Everyone gets to experience the joy of a backyard aquatic haven without compromising on space or functionality.”
