Treasure Valley sales supervisor/partner
Boise, Idaho

During the pandemic, many people tried new things, created new paths and switched up their routines. Joe Lenker, Treasure Valley sales supervisor and partner with Snake River Pool & Spa, was one of those people.

In 2021, he started his career with Snake River as a salesperson, quickly grasping both product knowledge and company procedures.

“I enjoy being challenged to learn and try new things, and that quickly turned into the drive to move up in the company,” he says. “After two years of selling, I was promoted to sales supervisor and shortly after offered partnership in the company.”

Lenker connects with Snake River and its products because of the wellness benefits they provide.

“Being an athlete throughout my childhood and into college, taking care of my body was essential and remains so,” he says. “You only get one body, and that should drive everyone to take the best care of themselves that they can. Watkins Wellness and their brands drive a similar message and purpose behind their product.”

The only thing he would change about this industry: the expense.

“Even with our most cost-friendly spa starting at $4,000, unfortunately, not everyone can afford that,” he says. “It’s somewhat heartbreaking, especially when you have elderly folks on a fixed income looking to feel better. It pains me to not be able to get those people into something they can afford every single time.”

Lenker hopes as the industry evolves, prices can decrease so more people can feel better.

“I’d like to be remembered in this industry as someone who truly cares about the well-being of others,” he says. “The most satisfying part of selling a hot tub is knowing that when these people use it, they’re going to come out of it better than they got in, both mentally and physically.”

As Lenker looks toward his future, he says “my drive hasn’t stopped and neither has my personal growth so I am excited to see what that next step is.”
