New Year, Big Changes

Fresh look and title paves way for 2017

Megan KendrickWelcome to the first issue of SpaRetailer in 2017! You may have already noticed we’ve been busy giving the magazine a facelift during the off-season. We hope this redesign not only gives SpaRetailer an updated look, but that it also helps better convey the information we bring you in each issue. We’ve also reorganized a bit, moving some articles together in specific sections.

There are more changes in store for SpaRetailer this year, including the continued evolution of our digital properties. Late last year, we updated our website, and we’re launching an app to make it easier for you to access the magazine on any device.

Personally, 2017 brings a new title and responsibilities for me here at SpaRetailer and our sister publication, PoolPro. As I take on more of the day-to-day management of the magazine, I plan to continue delivering the great content you’ve come to expect — and maybe even usher in some new ideas and programs. I appreciate this industry for embracing me as I’ve worked at Bigfish for the last nine years, and hope our collaborative relationship will persist.

Best,

Megan Kendrick, Managing Editor

David WoodA Note From Dave

This is an exciting time for our company and the hot tub industry. I’m looking forward to pursuing new collaborative projects in our industry while Megan expands her role. She has already been overseeing many of the responsibilities of a managing editor, and I am happy to give her operational control of this business unit. But don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere and will still be around to help steer the ship.
