Dominic Gosselin entered the spa industry in 2022 and quickly distinguished himself by spearheading product innovation designed to redefine the spa ownership experience. Beginning his career at a distributor, he transitioned to Gecko Alliance, a leading manufacturer specializing in spa electronics and pumps.

Gosselin’s work centers around reducing the complexities and frustrations often associated with spa ownership. “We didn’t build a water sanitation [monitoring] product just because we needed to,” he says of Gecko’s approach. “We started from the beginning, truly understanding the reality of spa owners and analyzing the solutions on the market.” This customer-focused research culminated in the launch of three major products in 18 months: the Gecko Waterlab, a “set and forget” water monitoring device integrated under the spa; In.touch 3, a next-generation connectivity system designed for reliable control; and the all-new Gecko app, which unifies spa control, water care and energy-saving features.

Though new to the industry, Gosselin rapidly accelerated his learning curve through “being curious, sending surveys, truly reading feedback and speaking with industry legends and new and old spa owners and users.” His eagerness to listen and learn has helped him lead initiatives that make spa use more intuitive, cost-effective and enjoyable.

Gosselin’s vision is bold and optimistic. “My biggest dream is to see the industry move back to growth,” he says. “There are two ways to do that: drastically reduce pain points of spa ownership and significantly increase the gain points so people use their spas more.” The goals his team pursues include making water sanitation easier and less frequent, cutting energy costs when spas are idle, simplifying spa operation for first-time users and elevating the wellness experience through personalized features.

Gosselin also enjoys a life filled with adventure and outdoor activities. “I am a fan of traveling, eating and drinking new stuff and discovering new cultures,” he says. “At home, you will find me biking, hiking or paddleboarding in the summer and skiing and skating in the winter.”
