Dynasty Spas: Finding the Middle Ground
Dynasty’s Aquora Plunge targets the space between pools and swim spas
For many backyard buyers, the decision between a pool and a swim spa doesn’t always end with a purchase — it often stalls somewhere in the middle.
Pools bring higher costs, longer timelines and complex construction. Swim spas are easier to install but don’t always match what buyers envision, particularly those less interested in exercise. That middle ground is where Dynasty Spas is positioning its Aquora Plunge.
“The Aquora Plunge is a modern, all-season water solution that delivers a pool-like experience in a compact, simplified format,” says Victor Moss, director of sales at Dynasty Spas. “It’s designed to give homeowners the openness, aesthetics and usability of a small pool, without the cost, space requirements and lengthy installation process typically associated with traditional pool construction.”
It’s available in 15- and 19-foot models, both with a roughly 8-foot width and about 46 inches of water depth. Capacity ranges from 1,630 to 1,870 gallons, giving it more usable space than a typical spa while still fitting into tighter footprints.
Built around hesitation
Dynasty approached the design by looking at where customers pause.
“We focused on the biggest friction points customers face when choosing between a pool and a swim spa,” Moss says.
That hesitation often comes down to trade-offs. Swim spas can solve for installation, but not always for layout or use.
“Swim spas can be a great solution, but the added cost of performance systems like swim jets — and a more confined interior space — can limit their appeal for customers who are looking for a more open, social experience,” Moss says.
Rather than compete on swim performance, Aquora is built more like a compact pool. The interior includes a molded bench with integrated steps and three water returns for circulation, designed for sitting, light movement and general use rather than continuous swimming.
Who it’s for
The product tends to attract buyers who started but then paused the decision process.
“Aquora resonates most with customers who want a premium backyard water feature but are hesitant about the realities of a traditional pool project,” Moss says.
That includes homeowners working with smaller yards and those who want something more social than performance-driven. Many are first-time buyers weighing whether to take on a larger project.
“It’s especially appealing to customers who want something that feels like a pool but fits more easily into their lifestyle,” Moss says.
Customers seeking value also prioritize year-round use, Moss says. Aquora’s insulation and integrated heating systems allow for extended seasonal use, which can help justify the purchase compared to pools that may sit unused for part of the year.

Installation and timing
Installation is a key part of the pitch and is where Aquora diverges most from pools.
The unit can be installed on a concrete slab without excavation, reducing both time and site work.
“By simplifying the installation process and minimizing site work, Aquora removes much of that uncertainty,” Moss says. “That clarity and predictability tend to shorten the sales cycle and improve close rates, because customers feel more confident moving forward.”
For retailers, that can mean fewer stalled projects and unknowns during the sales process.
Product tiers and features
The Aquora line is offered in several configurations, which gives retailers flexibility depending on customer needs and site conditions.
- Heat models feature a 220V system with integrated heating and filtration, designed for consistent temperature control and everyday use.
- All-Season models build on that platform with upgraded insulation and fully integrated equipment designed for improved heat retention and performance in colder climates.
- Complete models offer a plug-and-play 110V setup for faster installation and lower electrical requirements.
- Core models are designed for contractor integration, allowing for custom builds or deck installations.
Across the line, construction centers on an acrylic shell reinforced with fiberglass, mounted on a pressure-treated wood frame. Equipment is housed within the structure, and synthetic skirting helps retain heat while allowing service access.
Standard features include LED lighting, a cartridge filtration system, a dedicated filtration pump and a digital topside control for temperature and system management.
Competing across categories
Aquora doesn’t fit neatly into a single category, which is part of its role on the floor.
“Compared to traditional pools, it reduces cost, space requirements and installation complexity,” Moss says. “Compared to swim spas, it offers a more open and versatile environment without the added cost and focus on swim jet systems that not every customer is looking for.”
That positioning gives retailers another option when a customer is interested but undecided. So far, feedback has reflected that.
“Retailers have responded very positively, particularly because Aquora helps solve real sales challenges,” Moss says.
By addressing the reasons customers initially hesitate, Aquora gives dealers a way to keep the conversation moving instead of losing it altogether.
