Katie Birely began her career in the pool and spa industry in 2015 and has been growing and learning ever since.
“I have worked in retail my whole life and transitioned into pools and spas almost 10 years ago,” she says. “Learning all about pools and spas was challenging, but I was thankful to be supported by a family-owned company, Dover Pools in Delaware, which has been in business for over 40 years.”
Being surrounded by that experience and knowledge made Birely want to stay at Dover Pools, where she is now the store manager.
“This is such a fun and rewarding industry,” she says. “You are bringing people relaxation and helping to turn their backyard into their own oasis. I enjoy selling and helping to create fun for my customers.”
Birely says she would like to make the products accessible to more people though.
“There are so many people in this world that could benefit from owning a spa,” she says.
As Birely continues her career, she hopes to keep making backyard dreams come true.
